Finland Tightens Export Controls on Medical Equipment Bound for Russia

Finland is tightening controls on medical and pharmaceutical product exports to Russia after discovering items intended for civilian use may be repurposed for military purposes, according to The Moscow Times.

A Finnish Foreign Ministry sanctions official stated the country had become aware of the diversion risk. The move reflects expanded Western efforts to enforce sanctions compliance and prevent dual-use goods from reaching Russian military supply chains amid the Ukraine conflict.
