In Matchday 5 of the Süper Lig played before 33,000 spectators at Diyarbakır Stadium, Amedspor chased a record margin of victory.

Amedspor defeated Istanbul Başakşehir FK 5-0 at Diyarbakır Stadium in Matchday 5 of the Trendyol Süper Lig; Nigerian striker Gift Orban scored a hat-trick in a single match, completing two of his three goals from assists by Emir Krasniqi. The crowd of 33,000 watched the match from the stands.
The first half ended 1-0 after Başakşehir's Emin Bayram scored an own goal. In the second half, Amedspor increased their pressure, with Orban extending the score to 3-0 with a header and a right-footed strike in quick succession; in the 75th minute, he completed his hat-trick from Krasniqi's third assist. Mbaye Diagne, who came on for Orban, scored the final goal to close out the match at 5-0.
With this result, Amedspor solidified their position in the standings while Başakşehir suffered their heaviest defeat of the season. Amedspor's next match will be on September 20 at Diyarbakır Stadium again, with Beşiktaş as their opponent.

With this victory, Amedspor demonstrated it is a strong contender in Diyarbakır; if they can deliver similar performances throughout the season, they could be serious candidates in the league championship race. Başakşehir, meanwhile, suffered the heaviest defeat of the season and will be forced to make technical and tactical revisions.
