Istanbul Governorate Closes Dozens of Roads Including Vatan Avenue for October 29 Rehearsal
Starting at 05:45, Adnan Menderes Boulevard and dozens of connected streets were closed to traffic; D-100 and O-3 Market Road offered as alternatives.
Istanbul Governorate closed Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Vatan Avenue) to traffic in both directions as of 05:45 as part of the 103rd anniversary ceremony rehearsal for Republic Day.
Both northbound and southbound directions of D-100, as well as Edirnekapı, 10. Yıl, Oğuzhan, Sofular, Halıcılar, Akdeniz, Akşemsettin and Ordu streets, Atatürk Boulevard, Keçeci Meydan Street, and the southbound entrance to Adnan Menderes Boulevard on Market Road were closed to vehicular traffic. Access to the boulevard from all streets and alleys connected to Adnan Menderes Boulevard, as well as from Tatlıpınar, Kaleboyu, and Sulukule streets, is not possible.
The Governorate recommended using Turgut Özal Millet and Fevzipaşa streets, Atatürk Boulevard, D-100 highway, and O-3 Market Road as alternatives to the closed routes.
