National Chess Academy Opens in Bishkek Under President Japarov's Decrees

The National Chess Academy has opened in Bishkek. The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymалiev, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

The academy was established in accordance with decrees issued by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov: "On Urgent Measures for the Development and Popularization of Chess in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2026–2030" and "On the National Chess Academy under the Kyrgyz Chess Union."

The academy's objectives are the systematic training of international-level chess players, the identification and support of talented youth, and the further development of the chess movement in the country.

During his visit, Kasymалiev inspected the facilities created for the training of young chess players and met with students' parents, emphasizing the importance of fostering a supportive environment for the intellectual and well-rounded development of children and youth.
