Ukrainian drones attacked Voronezh: two killed, 17 wounded
Governor Gusev reported the interception of 113 unmanned aerial vehicles over the region; media outlet Astra used eyewitness video recordings and identified one of the struck facilities as SIBUR's synthetic rubber plant, whose products are used in military equipment and Iskander missiles.

Two men — born in 1960 and 1973 — were killed in a massive attack by Ukrainian drones on Voronezh during the night of Monday, with 17 others wounded, reported Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev in his Telegram channel. The governor warned that the death toll could rise throughout the day.
According to Gusev, air defense systems destroyed 113 drones over the region, most of them directly over the regional capital. Most of the casualties were in a passenger train at the time of the strike.
Falling drone fragments sparked fires at several industrial and commercial facilities, as well as residential buildings and a school gymnasium, the governor added.
Media outlet Astra, relying on eyewitness video recordings showing smoke over Voronezh, identified one of the struck industrial facilities as a synthetic rubber plant belonging to petrochemical corporation SIBUR. The enterprise produces rubber and polymers used in military aircraft tires, armored vehicles, and solid rocket fuel components for Iskander ballistic missiles. If confirmed, this would mark the third attack on a Russian synthetic rubber plant in three days — following strikes on similar facilities in Togliatti and Omsk over the weekend.
Russian Ministry of Defense stated that it intercepted 290 Ukrainian drones over Russia and annexed Crimea during Sunday evening and Monday morning. Civil aviation authorities temporarily suspended flights at all Moscow airports.
Separately, Bryansk Region Governor Egor Kovalchuk reported the death of a train driver as a result of a drone attack during the night of Sunday. A passenger train on the Anapa–Moscow route was also struck: according to Russian Railways, at least five passengers were wounded.
