Kyrgyz farmer Raisa Tologonova has been included in the global list "100 FAO Heroines" — an initiative by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization timed to the International Year of Women Farmers in 2026.

Tologonova was selected from more than 600 candidates from 131 countries. The organization recognized her contribution to agricultural development, strengthening food security, supporting rural communities, and implementing innovative approaches in the agrifood sector.

FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu personally invited her to the awards ceremony in Rome, which took place as part of the World Food Forum from October 12 to 16.

Tologonova was born in 1955 in the village of Saruu in Issyk-Kul region. Her interest in agriculture began in childhood.
