AKP did not lay wreath at May 19 ceremony in Taksim

It was determined that the AKP did not lay a wreath at the May 19 ceremony at the Ankara Taksim Monument. The Republican People's Party expressed criticism by stating that its party traditionally presents a wreath on the day marking the 107th anniversary of Atatürk's departure to Anatolia, but that the ruling party did not do so.

Meanwhile, AKP Deputy Chairman Kürşad Zorlu posted a message on his social media account regarding May 19, using the words: "Today we are following the path opened to our independence by the sacred flame lit in Samsun 107 years ago."
