The 1,849-page indictment prepared by Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in the investigation into ANSET, a subsidiary of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, was accepted by Antalya 4th Heavy Penal Court. According to Anadolu Agency, 55 defendants, 15 of whom are in custody, will be tried in the indictment.
Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek faces charges of money laundering, bid rigging, and accepting bribes from four separate individuals, with prosecutors seeking 25 to 69 years imprisonment. Böcek had previously made statements denying any irregularities related to ANSET processes.
For Deputy Mayor Cansel Çevikkol Tuncer, prosecutors are seeking 9 to 21 years imprisonment on charges of bid rigging and money laundering.
The indictment cites MASAK data, a report from the Ministry of Interior's civil inspection chief, bank transfers, HTS records, and tender files as evidence. Irregularities are alleged to have occurred in tenders for Foodfest, the Golden Orange Film Festival, and Piano Festival organized through ANSET between 2020-2025; expert reports noted that public damage was detected in these tenders.
