Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar appeared live on Kanal 7 and shared details about the Osman Gazi platform in the Black Sea. Bayraktar noted that the platform is being constructed to the length of three football fields, 56 meters wide, and with a height equivalent to a 40-story skyscraper.

The minister outlined the figures for the facility: When Osman Gazi comes online, daily natural gas production will increase from the current 10 million cubic meters to 20 million cubic meters. The facility will be connected to Filyos through a 170-kilometer-long subsea pipeline. Starting from 2027, it is expected to produce approximately $10 million daily, equivalent to 3.5–3.6 billion dollars annually.

The number of households utilizing domestic natural gas will also change: it is anticipated that the current 4 million households using their own produced gas will increase to 8 million. The facility is designed to operate for 20 years.

Turkey had previously extracted gas to land in the Filyos project and processed it onshore. Bayraktar summarized the distinction of Osman Gazi as follows: processing will this time take place in open waters, in 21 modules on the platform itself. This will be Turkey's first facility to conduct onsite gas processing at sea.
