CHP Ayvalık District Chair Files Disciplinary Case Seeking Kılıçdaroğlu's Expulsion

CHP Ayvalık District Chair Hüseyin Şalmanlı has formally applied to initiate a disciplinary investigation seeking the permanent expulsion of former party leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu from party membership.

The application comes during a period in which the CHP has been shaken by court rulings and legal processes against its headquarters have intensified. While Kılıçdaroğlu has frequently been targeted in recent internal party disputes, this time the move has come from within the party's own ranks.

According to Cumhuriyet newspaper, Şalmanlı submitted his application to the relevant disciplinary bodies. The move coincides with the CHP's ongoing 'absolute nullity' crisis, and is being viewed as a symbolic indicator of the fracture within the party.

Kılıçdaroğlu has not yet publicly responded to the application.
