Egypt wins EU approval to export farmed fish to all 27 member states
Cairo's aquaculture products clear the bloc's regulatory requirements for products of animal origin, opening a new export channel.

Egypt has secured authorisation to export aquaculture products to all 27 European Union member states after meeting the bloc's technical and regulatory requirements, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade announced.
The Egyptian Commercial Service, operating through its Brussels office, worked with the National Food Safety Authority and other national bodies to place Egyptian aquaculture products on the EU's approved list for exports of products of animal origin. The approval covers farmed fish and crustaceans.
Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, said removing technical and regulatory barriers to Egyptian exports was a priority for expanding market access and strengthening the competitiveness of national products. He stressed the importance of coordination among national authorities, overseas commercial representation offices and the ministry's affiliated bodies to diversify export destinations and translate trade opportunities into tangible results.
