President Recep Tayyip Erdogan disclosed at the AK Party TBMM Group Meeting that they are pursuing the fund investigation under three headings. NTV reported.

Erdogan stated that the first phase involves paying accumulated assets in liquidated funds to investors, and said that payment operations will accelerate once the legislative bill on the parliament's agenda enters into force. He added that the Fund Coordination Board and economic advisers are meeting regularly.

In the second phase, Erdogan explained that they aim for those who obtained excessive profits through manipulation to account for themselves before the judiciary, and stated that the chief prosecutor's offices are doing what is necessary in light of evidence and confessions.

Erdogan emphasized that the third phase consists of measures aimed at preventing similar problems, and announced that the State Audit Institution will prepare a comprehensive report.

Erdogan rejected this approach, arguing that the opposition has leveled unfounded corruption allegations against certain individuals over the fund investigation.
