The case regarding the murder of Evindar Tiğrak, who went missing in Batman on June 7, 2025, began with its first hearing; the court ruled to continue the detention of the suspects.

In the investigation conducted by Batman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, HTS and PTS records, biological traces found in the suspect vehicle, and witness statements were evaluated together. Based on the evidence, N.Y. and Y.D. were taken into custody and arrested on charges of "premeditated intentional murder."

The investigation revealed that Tiğrak had previously filed a complaint against N.Y. and that the court had issued a protective order. Tiğrak's body has not yet been located; her family continues the search.

The Batman Bar Association Women's Rights Center held a press conference in front of the Batman Courthouse and invited the Tiğrak family to attend. The family's lawyers stated that the failure to find the body has complicated the investigation and that the case will be closely monitored.

The case has brought back to the agenda the debate over the deterrent effect of protective orders issued in cases of violence against women.
