Sinem Dedetaş, a municipal official at Usküdar Municipality who was detained on July 31 and suspended from duty as part of an operation against the municipality, has been released from Karatepe Correctional Institution in Çorlu district, Tekirdağ. The court's release decision was announced on October 29, Republic Day.

Dedetaş's lawyer Akın Atalay stated that the release application had been approved, saying that following their release application for his client Sinem Dedetaş, a decision was made "for her release from prison with judicial supervision measures in the form of house arrest." Accordingly, Dedetaş was released under judicial supervision measures that require her not to leave her residence.

Shortly before the release decision, Dedetaş released a Republic Day message from prison in which she emphasized that she had been deprived of her freedom for 90 days, using the words "How precious freedom is!" Shortly after her message, the release decision was issued and Dedetaş left prison.
