Turkey's Meteorology Authority Issues Heavy Rainfall Warning for Muğla, Antalya, İzmir, and Aydın

The Ministry of Interior issued a heavy rainfall warning for four provinces based on information received from the General Directorate of Meteorology.

Thunderstorms with locally heavy and severe rainfall are expected in the districts of Ula, Ortaca, Marmaris, Dalaman, and Köyceğiz in Muğla; precipitation is forecast to become locally very heavy and severe from evening hours onward. Heavy rainfall is also predicted in the districts of Muratpaşa, Aksu, and Serik in Antalya. It was stated that thunderstorms with locally heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur in the western parts of İzmir from midday hours onward, and in the west of Aydın from evening hours.

The Ministry called on citizens to exercise caution against risks of flooding, water inundation, landslides, transportation disruptions, lightning strikes, localized hail, strong winds, and tornadoes, and to heed the warnings issued by competent authorities.
