North Korea tests cluster warhead capable of destroying 12–13 hectare area
Pyongyang's General Missile Bureau confirmed the test of a standard-type cluster warhead for a tactical ballistic missile, with combat deployment planned this year.

North Korea's General Missile Bureau conducted a test of a cluster warhead for a tactical ballistic missile, TASS reported Saturday, citing the KCNA news agency.
The bureau chief said the test confirmed that the standard-type No. 2 cluster warhead is capable of destroying a target area of 12 to 13 hectares.
The bureau classifies cluster warheads as a special-purpose category alongside four standard warhead types. The bureau chief said the goal is to make all warhead types available to combat units before the end of this year, allowing commanders to select munitions based on the operational target and its characteristics.
