PFDK bans Brown for 3 matches, Bardakcı for 2 matches from derby; Galatasaray fined 500,000 TL
The Professional Football Disciplinary Board sanctioned two players, two clubs, and technical staff members for fighting following the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby on October 26, 2026.
The Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) announced its decisions following the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby played on October 26, 2026.
Abdülkerim Bardakcı of Galatasaray was banned from 2 official matches and fined 67,000 TL under articles 45/1-a and 35/4 of the Football Disciplinary Regulation (FDR) for fighting. Archibald Norman Brown of Fenerbahçe was banned from 3 official matches and fined 100,000 TL under the same articles.
Galatasaray coach Serhat Doğan received two separate decisions from the technical staff: 50,000 TL fine for being in an area where he was not accredited, and a 21-day suspension for unsporting conduct toward an opposing team player. Fenerbahçe official Ahmet Aytar was fined 50,000 TL for being in an area where he was not accredited.
The most severe decision at the club level went to Galatasaray: because supporters engaged in vulgar and offensive chanting for the second time as the home team within the same season, a fine of 500,000 TL was applied under article 53/2 of the FDR. In the same decision, electronic ticket cards in numerous blocks in the North, East, South, and West stands were blocked; the supporters in question will not be able to enter the next home match.
Galatasaray also received a separate penalty under articles 52/2 and 46/1 of the FDR for its supporters and affiliates causing field incidents. Details of the club penalty imposed on Fenerbahçe were also included in the PFDK decision.
