Yarız, who announced that journalist Saymaz fled abroad, applied to the Chief Prosecutor's Office; Saymaz disputes the phone conversation.

Pusula Portfolio Board Chairman Muhammet Yarız applied to the Bodrum Chief Prosecutor's Office to give a statement. In a statement he made on social media, Yarız claimed that after journalist İsmail Saymaz published allegations that Saymaz had fled abroad by boat from Marmaris the previous day, he personally called Saymaz to inform him that he would go to the prosecutor's office, and that this information did not appear in Saymaz's post.
Saymaz, in his counter-statement, provided details: Yarız called him at 20:35, at which time he said he was in Antalya, and Yarız abruptly ended the call. According to Saymaz, Yarız said "my father is calling" and hung up; when Saymaz requested live location sharing, he received no response.
Underlying this process, which closely concerns the business world, is the strategic share transfer process that Pusula Group is conducting with Tera Group. In a statement made to the exchange, it was also seen that during the same period two names resigned from the board of KatılımEvim Tasarruf Finansman AŞ, which is part of Pusula, and Emre Tezmen was appointed as chairman in their place.
Whether Yarız actually went to the Chief Prosecutor's Office has not yet been verified by an independent source due to the conflicting accounts given by both sides.
Pusula Portföy Chairman Yarız approached Bodrum Public Prosecutor's Office following allegations that journalist Saymaz fled abroad; however, both sides are making contradictory statements regarding the content of their phone conversation. The incident is occurring in the midst of the strategic share transfer process between Pusula and Tera Group.
The fact that the board chairman of an important financial institution like Pusula Portföy is involved in a situation related to judicial authorities directly concerns stakeholders who have invested in and are cooperating with the group. The ongoing share transfer agreement with Tera Group faces the risk of disruption in this conflict environment.
