The National Statistics Committee recorded leading growth in the chemical industry, vehicle manufacturing, and construction materials production.

Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product for January–August 2026 reached 1,396.8 billion soms — 11% higher than the same period in 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Industrial production volume for the same period reached 600.8 billion soms. The physical volume index of industry stood at 108.8% compared to January–August 2025.
The highest growth rates were recorded in: chemical products — up 2.3-fold, refined petroleum products — up 1.8-fold, vehicle manufacturing — up 46.8%, wood and paper products — up 44.7%, construction materials — up 33.4%, pharmaceutical products — up 15.1%. Food products (including beverages and tobacco) increased 8.4%, mining — 8.9%, and primary metals — 3.1%.
Positive momentum was also recorded in construction: volumes grew 1.6-fold compared to January–August 2025.
Kyrgyzstan's GDP increased by 11% in January–August 2026 to 1.4 trillion soms. The fastest growth was recorded in the chemical industry (2.3 times), vehicle manufacturing (46.8%) and construction (1.6 times).
Statistical data indicates a recovery of Kyrgyzstan's economy and growing demand for industrial and construction products, which may affect prices and the investment climate. Growth in key sectors could mean employment opportunities and business expansion prospects for local enterprises.
