President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Armenia on October 15. Flight number one landed at Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, according to a statement from the office of the head of state.

The Kyrgyz delegation was met at the aircraft stairs by Armenian Vice Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan and other state protocol officials.

The visit takes place by personal invitation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The central event of the visit program will be Japarov's participation in the Leaders Summit as part of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17)—one of the key international forums on nature conservation and sustainable development.

In addition to this, high-level bilateral negotiations with Armenian leadership are scheduled during the visit. At the meetings, the sides intend to discuss current issues of political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
