Mirziyoyev arrives in Seoul for three-day state visit

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Seoul accompanied by his wife for a three-day state visit. An honor guard was formed at the Republic of Korea Air Force base and an artillery salute was fired. Mirziyoyev was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Koo Yoon-chol.

During the visit, talks are scheduled with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung in both restricted and plenary formats. Mirziyoyev will also meet with National Assembly Speaker Jo Cheon-sik, Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, and the heads of major South Korean companies and financial institutions.

The President will address the opening of the Uzbek-Korean Business Forum. On September 16, he will take part in the first Central Asia–Republic of Korea summit.

Running alongside the official program, Days of Uzbek Culture will be held in Seoul and several other South Korean cities. Mirziyoyev will also meet with Uzbek nationals working and studying in South Korea and speak with them about their lives, studies, and plans for the future.
