ÖSYM opens 2026-HMGS/2 applications: Deadline August 19, exam September 27

ÖSYM opened applications for the 2026-HMGS/2 (Entrance Exam for Legal Professions) on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 09:30. Applications will close on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 23:59; exam fees can be paid through ÖSYM's payment channels until August 20.

Candidates will submit their applications through ÖSYM's online application system. The exam will begin on Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 10:15; candidates will be given 155 minutes to answer. Entry to exam buildings will not be permitted after 10:00.

HMGS serves as a mandatory threshold exam for law school graduates to begin legal practice internship and to participate in the competitive exams for judge and prosecutor positions. HMGS/1, the first session of the year, was held in March 2026; this session offers a second opportunity for graduates who were unable to take the exam or wish to increase their score.
