A new price tariff for multiple cigarette groups took effect as of August 4, 2025. According to reports from HaberX and Mynet Finans, the increase covers different brand groups, starting on the same date.
A complete list of which brands received which price increases has not yet been officially announced by the Tobacco and Alcohol Market Regulatory Authority (TAPDK); however, retail price changes have been communicated to distributors. In Turkey, cigarette prices increased during three separate periods in 2024, with the most commonly consumed brand group's pack surpassing the 100 TL threshold with approximately a 40 percent increase throughout the year.
In districts with heavy cigarette consumption, such as Bağcılar and Gaziosmanpaşa, kiosk owners noted in previous price hikes that daily spending per customer increased by 10-15 TL. The final shelf prices resulting from this new tariff will become clear over the course of the day.
