According to Anadolu Agency, the seat distribution table for the 28th-term deputies of the Turkish Grand National Assembly has been updated. Izmir deputy Mustafa Bilici resigned from the New Path Party, reducing the group to 19 deputies; with this resignation, the party fell below the 20-deputy threshold required to form a parliamentary group. Kütahya deputy Ali Fazıl Kasap's departure from the CHP to join New Path Party then restored the party to exactly that threshold. With Aydın deputy Ömer Karakaş and Gaziantep deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban leaving the Good Party, the Good Party's seat count fell to 27 and the CHP's dropped to 44 — while the number of independent deputies rose to 13. The updated table reflects that the broader erosion of seats has also been driven by earlier losses: the deaths of Hasan Bitmez of the Felicity Party and Sırrı Süreyya Önder of the DEM Party, the stripping of Şerafettin Can Atalay's parliamentary status, and the prior resignations of five CHP deputies elected as mayors.
