Military and Police Personnel Wounded in Terrorism but Not Classified as Disabled Can Apply via e-Government from September 1st

According to an announcement made from the Ministry of National Defence's social media account, Turkish Armed Forces, Gendarmerie General Command, and Coast Guard Command personnel, as well as police officers and security guards who were wounded in counter-terrorism operations but are not classified as disabled, will be able to apply through e-Government starting September 1st, 2026. Applicants will only need to upload a text summarizing the 'wounding as a result of terrorism' incident and any documents in their possession to the system; there will be no need to request additional documents from public institutions.

The Ministry particularly emphasized that applications submitted to unit commands, institutional departments, and conscription offices will absolutely not be accepted. The Anadolu Agency reported the announcement. This right was previously criticized as one of the compensation mechanisms that many veterans could not access due to lengthy administrative processes and document requirements; the e-Government integration removes this barrier for the first time.
