YENİ Party, under the leadership of Party Chair Özgür Özel, will hold its first public TBMM group meeting tomorrow (August 4, 2026) at 11:30 a.m. in Parliament's main hall. The official request has been submitted to the Speaker of Parliament.
The party held its first closed group meeting on July 28; at that meeting, Ankara Deputy Tekin Bingöl was appointed as Deputy Speaker of Parliament. Burhanettin Bulut, Veli Ağbaba, Turan Taşkın Özer, Seyit Torun, and Özgür Karabat were elected to the Group Executive Board.
Tomorrow's public meeting will be the party's first official parliamentary appearance to the public since breaking away from the CHP. YENİ Party's group size in parliament and its position in opposition dynamics are among the priority agenda items expected to become clear at this meeting.
