U.S. President Donald Trump has selected David Venturella to lead Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Venturella previously held an executive position at GEO Group, one of the largest private prison operators in the United States.

The agency he has been appointed to oversee will assume responsibility for enforcing immigration laws and conducting related security operations.
