At the Torugart checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border, six cargo lanes for import traffic have been put into operation, along with a dedicated waiting zone as part of an electronic queue system. This was announced by the Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Customs Service Chairman Almaz Saliev conducted a working visit during which he personally inspected the optimization of processes and infrastructure at the checkpoint. Following the visit, he instructed staff to accelerate completion of remaining infrastructure work and maximize the checkpoint's throughput capacity.
Saliev gave particular attention to the inspection and screening complex (ISC). Officials at the post have been assigned three tasks: organize training and professional development for personnel working with ISC equipment; ensure strict compliance with radiation safety standards during inspections; complete integration of the ISC database with the Customs Service information system to speed up cargo accounting and processing.
The Kyrgyz-Chinese border checkpoint at Torugart launched six new lanes for import cargo and an electronic queue system. Management ordered acceleration of digitization of inspection operations and increased checkpoint throughput capacity.
Expanded border checkpoint capacity can reduce delays and delivery costs for importers of goods from China. Improvements to the inspection complex and electronic queue system will simplify customs clearance for business.
