Public bus collides with truck in Ankara's Temelli: 2 dead, 25 injured

The bus, after impact and spinning out of control, struck a stationary truck from behind — in an accident on the Eskişehir Road near Temelli in Ankara, 2 people died and 25 were injured.

According to Anadolu Agency, the crash occurred when a private public bus with license plate 06 HO 1036 collided with a gravel truck bearing plate 06 FMV 326. The identities of the drivers have not yet been established.

As a result of the collision, the bus spun out and struck a truck parked on the roadside from behind. Following the report, emergency medical services, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals; one of the injured was reported to be in critical condition.

Temelli is an industrial zone attached to Ankara's Sincan district; the Eskişehir Road in this section carries heavy truck traffic during morning and evening hours. Last year, a similar truck-bus collision on the same route resulted in 3 deaths.
