The Socialist & Democrats (S&D) group in the European Parliament has proposed more ambitious targets for electrifying corporate car fleets, according to EurActiv, as the EU works to meet climate commitments.
The rapporteurs also suggested sweetening provisions that would incentivize companies to provide electric bikes to employees as part of sustainable transport strategies. The proposals aim to accelerate the EU's transition away from internal combustion engines in the commercial vehicle sector.
These measures form part of broader EU climate policy frameworks designed to reduce transport emissions and support the green transition.
