At a 12-story apartment building under construction on 1038th Street in Hamidiye District, Karaman, worker Mesut Yıldız (39) lost his balance while working on the building's top floor, fell into an elevator shaft, and died.
Following reports from other workers, health, fire, police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. The health team that arrived at the site determined that Yıldız had died on the spot. The public prosecutor conducted an investigation at the scene; Yıldız's body was transferred to the morgue at Karaman Education and Research Hospital for autopsy.
