Gasoline to see 1.56 TL increase from Monday midnight

Fuel price increases show no sign of stopping: according to industry sources, gasoline product prices are expected to rise by 2.08 TL from Monday midnight; of this, 1.56 TL will be passed on to pump prices. Combined with the 1.06 TL increase reflected at the pump last night, the two-day cumulative pump burden reaches 2.62 TL. For a driver with an average 50-liter tank commuting daily from Şişli to Kadıköy, this two-day price wave means an additional monthly fuel cost of approximately 250 TL. Cumhuriyet newspaper reported the news. In Turkey, fuel prices move in response to exchange rates and crude oil prices; the last major price wave occurred last year when the dollar/TL parity exceeded 38 lira.
