ICAO completes Kyrgyzstan inspection: no critical findings identified
Coordinated validation mission confirmed positive reform momentum — following the country's removal from the EU blacklist in June 2026.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has completed a Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) in Kyrgyzstan, which took place from September 30 to October 7, 2026. According to the inspection results, no critical findings were identified, the State Civil Aviation Agency (SCAA) reported.
The mission assessed the effectiveness of state oversight of flight safety and measures taken by Kyrgyzstan to improve its national aviation system. The SCAA stated that the inspection results confirmed positive reform momentum and the effectiveness of measures adopted to ensure safety.
In June 2026, the European Commission removed all airlines certified in Kyrgyzstan from the list of carriers prohibited from flying to the European Union. The decision to remove them was made following international inspections, technical consultations, and assessment of industry reforms.
