The humanitarian mission to the Russian city of Alyoshki (Kherson region) has reached its final stage: demining of all agreed routes has been completed, and a convoy carrying food, clean water, and medicine is ready to depart for the central district hospital.

This was announced by U.S. First Lady Melania Trump in a post on X. "Demining operations are complete and the humanitarian mission preparation is in its final stage. All designated routes, jointly agreed upon by Ukraine and Russia, have been cleared for safe passage," she wrote.

Russia's Human Rights Ombudsman Yana Lantratova previously confirmed that Russian forces had completed the demining of the routes. The operation is being carried out jointly with the Ukrainian side, with Melania Trump serving as mediator — she secured an agreement to halt hostilities and establish a safe humanitarian corridor.

Russia has been observing the ceasefire in the Kherson sector since 04:00 Moscow time on October 27. According to TASS, just over 1,000 residents remain in Alyoshki — down from the 20,000 who previously lived there. In September, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the humanitarian situation in the city as critical.
