Ukrainian drones struck Voronezh on the night of October 26: Voronezh Oblast Governor Alexander Gusev reported three people killed and 29 residents wounded.

In his initial Telegram post, Gusev named two of the deceased — men born in 1960 and 1973. At an emergency meeting later, he clarified that the death toll had risen to three.

According to the governor, air defense systems destroyed 113 drones over the region, most directly over the regional capital. The majority of the wounded were in a passenger train that was struck by falling debris from the drones.

Drone debris also triggered fires at several industrial and commercial facilities, residential buildings, and a school gymnasium, Gusev reported.

News outlet Astra identified one of the damaged industrial facilities from eyewitness video as a synthetic rubber plant owned by petrochemical corporation Sibur. The plant produces rubber and polymers used in military aircraft tires, armored vehicles, and solid-fuel components of Iskander missiles.

If confirmed, the strike would mark the third attack on a Russian synthetic rubber plant in as many days — over the weekend, similar facilities in Togliatti and Omsk were already targeted.

Russia's Defense Ministry stated that between Sunday evening and Monday morning it intercepted 290 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory and annexed Crimea. Civil aviation authorities temporarily halted flights at all Moscow airports.

In Bryansk Oblast, Governor Egor Kovalchuk reported the death of a train driver from a separate drone attack on Sunday night. A passenger train on the Anapa-Moscow route was also struck: according to Russian Railways, five passengers were wounded.
