Israel continues strikes on southern Lebanon despite framework agreement signed last June
Lebanese Health Ministry reports 4,389 deaths since March 2; Israeli military targets olive harvesters in Wadi al-Hajar.

Israeli warplanes conducted raids on the towns of Kafartebhnit in Nabatieh district and Mansouri south of Tyre, while other aircraft targeted farmers harvesting olives in Wadi al-Hajar with no reported casualties.
Anatolian Agency reported that Israeli artillery struck the al-Areesh area between the towns of Hadatha and Haris with 155mm howitzers, and artillery also targeted the Marjayoun plain.
Israel began intensive aerial attacks on March 2 and occupied dozens of towns in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese government announced that the number of displaced persons from those attacks exceeded one million people.
A ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel took effect on April 17 and was extended multiple times. On June 26, the two sides signed, under U.S. auspices, a "framework agreement" aimed at ending the conflict and achieving lasting peace, stipulating a gradual Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory.
However, Israel has not complied with the agreement's terms and has continued its occupation and military operations. The Lebanese Health Ministry stated in its latest statement issued on October 12 that Israeli airstrikes since March 2 have killed at least 4,389 people.
