The Arab Coalition, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, announced the execution of a "large-scale operation" against Houthi forces in Yemen, resulting in the destruction of 136 military targets in areas controlled by the Iran-backed group.

Coalition spokesman Major General Turki Al-Maliki said in a statement posted on the X platform that the operations aimed to "destroy the Houthis' ballistic missile capabilities," noting that the Coalition provides "24-hour air support for the Yemeni military" without interruption. The statement was accompanied by video footage of airstrikes carried out during the operation.

The Houthis have controlled the Yemeni capital Sana'a and a number of provinces since September 2014, while the Arab Coalition has provided military support to the internationally recognized Yemeni government since March 2015, as part of a prolonged conflict that has caused severe civilian casualties and led to one of the world's most acute humanitarian crises.
