Armed clash in Ankara's Keçiören district: 8 arrests, 3 unlicensed weapons found in house

The Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into an armed clash in Keçiören in which one group arrived in a vehicle and opened fire, while a rival group pursued them in a vehicle and returned fire.

Ankara Police Department teams apprehended the shooting group at the house where they were hiding, with the assistance of tactical units. Three unlicensed weapons were discovered during the search. The members of the pursuing group were identified and detained by Keçiören District Police Department; approximately 2,000 drug tablets were seized at this group's address.

Of the 10 suspects in custody, 8 — identified as H.Y., B.A., E.G., S.S., A.E., F.G., E.Ş., and M.T. — were referred to court on charges of illegal arms trafficking, drug trafficking, and attempted murder, and were remanded into custody by the judge. The remaining 2 suspects were released.

Weapons recovered at the scene were sent for ballistic analysis and criminal examination. TRT Haber reported the incident.
