Eskişehir Chief Prosecutor Coordinates 33-Province Operation: 78 Arrests, 7.1 Billion TL

Under the coordination of the Eskişehir Public Prosecutor's Office, teams from the Provincial Police Department's Cybercrime Combat Branch conducted simultaneous operations in Eskişehir and 32 other provinces including Adana, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, and 28 others.

It was determined that the suspects had facilitated illegal online betting and gambling sites, and collected bank accounts and mobile phone lines from third parties. In the accounts of the 101 detained suspects, a transaction volume of 7.1 billion lira was detected.

86 suspects in Eskişehir and others were referred to courthouses in their respective provinces; it was stated that 15 suspects would give statements by connecting to Eskişehir Courthouse via SEGBİS. The court ordered the arrest of 78 suspects, placed 21 under judicial control, while 2 suspects were released following prosecution interrogation. The investigation is ongoing.
