Iran Security Council Secretary Rızai: If Attacked, 'We Will Strike Hard with New Weapons'
Supreme Leader Khamenei instructed commanders to respond 'urgently without geographic boundaries'; Iran previously stated it has U.S.-Israel assets in range.

Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsin Rızai issued a stern warning regarding ongoing military tensions with the United States in a statement posted on social media. Rızai noted that the diplomatic path would remain open if Iran's previously announced seven conditions are met; however, in line with the latest directive the Supreme Leader gave to the armed forces, he stated "we will strike the enemy hard with new weapons," emphasizing that they would act this way in the event of any attack against the country.
Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei had previously met with Ali Abdullahi, commander of Iran's Joint Chiefs of Staff, Emir Hatemi, commander-in-chief of the Iranian Army, and Ahmed Vahidi, commander of the Revolutionary Guards. Khamenei announced at this meeting that he instructed senior commanders to "respond urgently and effectively without geographic limitations to any potential enemy threat."
Khamenei also stated that the military's range of targets must be updated to encompass all U.S. and Israeli assets.
