Israel seizes 183 dunams of Palestinian land in Hebron and Bethlehem villages
Tel Aviv administration declares lands 'state property'; seizures have accelerated in the West Bank since October 2023.

Israel has classified a total of 183 dunams of Palestinian land in villages under the Hebron and Bethlehem governorates in southern West Bank as 'state property.' According to the Anadolu Agency, citing a written statement from the Palestinian Committee Against the Apartheid Wall and Jewish Settlements, the measure is part of an expansion policy that grants official status to illegal settlement areas.
The committee emphasized that through this move, Israel is effectively partitioning Palestinian geography on the ground and imposing annexation not on paper but in the field.
Since the assault on Gaza began in October 2023, there has been a marked increase in arrests, raids, and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. The committee had not disclosed the size of land seized in the previous similar decree; this time, sharing the figure with the public is noteworthy in terms of formal monitoring of the process.
