Israeli military raids Taranca village in Syria's Quneitra
Israeli forces entered the village firing flares into the air; Damascus says the 1974 Disengagement Agreement is being violated.

Israeli forces entered Taranca village in Syria's Quneitra governorate to conduct a raid on a house; according to reporting by the Anadolu Agency citing Syria's official channel al-Ikhbariya, military units fired flares into the air as they entered the village.
Since the fall of the Assad regime in December 2024, Israel has established 9 military bases in Quneitra and Daraa governorates alone; the seized territory has reached approximately 12,000 dunams. In the previous period, Israel had zero permanent military presence in these governorates.
The Damascus administration stated that the raids and occupations directly violate the Disengagement Agreement signed in 1974. Reiterating that Israel must withdraw from all occupied Syrian territories, Damascus called on the international community to take action against Tel Aviv's practices.
The Israeli military made no statement regarding the raid.
