The Meteorology General Directorate issued an orange alert for October 29, drawing attention to the risk of flooding, flash floods, and lightning strikes in four provinces.

Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi announced that an orange-level meteorological alert has been issued for Muğla, Antalya, Mersin, and Adana provinces on Thursday, October 29, and called for maximum vigilance against the risks of flooding, flash floods, lightning strikes, and strong winds in these regions.
In a post on his social media account, Minister Çiftçi noted that according to assessments by the Meteorology General Directorate, strong downpours and thunderstorms are expected in various parts of the country. Besides the provinces under the orange alert, Çiftçi urged those under yellow-code warnings to remain on high alert as well, emphasizing that relevant institutions under AFAD coordination have taken necessary precautions and developments are being closely monitored.
In his statement, Çiftçi requested that citizens "carefully heed" the warnings issued by the Meteorology General Directorate and AFAD, and urged them to avoid situations that could jeopardize their personal safety and property. Çiftçi stressed that "timely precautions save lives," and prayed that God would protect the country and nation from all kinds of disasters.
