SpaceX and Northrop Grumman Pass First Golden Dome Component Tests

A number of contractors involved in developing the American Golden Dome missile defense system have successfully completed initial key tests, Bloomberg reported, citing U.S. Space Force General Michael Guetlein.
Among the companies that passed the tests are SpaceX and Northrop Grumman. The test program included verification of data transmission from sensors to interceptors, as well as demonstration of propulsion systems.
Following completion of the first test series, the companies will move to the next phase — demonstrating the ability of the developed technologies to function in space.
Moscow has repeatedly stated that the Golden Dome system undermines strategic stability. In January, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev called its deployment "highly provocative." Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov argued that the system provides for both anti-missile interception and the destruction of Russian and Chinese missiles before launch.
