The Turkish Grand National Assembly convenes this week with a full agenda. In the General Assembly, legal regulations related to 'asset amnesty' will be addressed first. The asset amnesty scheme is known as a fiscal amnesty mechanism aimed at bringing money, gold, foreign currency, securities, and other capital market instruments located domestically or abroad into the economy.
Another significant item on the agenda is an omnibus bill proposal that will grant various tax advantages to companies within the Istanbul Financial Centre. Through this regulation, it is planned to provide incentives to organizations operating in line with Turkey's goal of becoming a regional financial hub.
The omnibus bill proposal also includes extending the installment period for Social Security Institution (SSK) debts from the current 36 months to 72 months. This regulation is expected to provide significant financial relief to businesses and citizens burdened with debt.
