Under an investigation coordinated by the Uşak Chief Prosecutor's Office, teams from the Gendarmerie General Command's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, Cyber Crimes Department, and Uşak Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted simultaneous operations this morning at 06:00 in Uşak, Ankara, Hatay, Istanbul, Izmir, Siirt, Antalya, and Kocaeli.

The investigation is based on allegations that revenues derived from illegal gambling activities were laundered by channeling them through personal, corporate, and association accounts. Within the scope of charges including 'forming an organization for the purpose of committing a crime', 'laundering assets derived from crime', and violation of Law No. 7258, 32 suspects, 1 association, and 4 companies were included in search warrants; 22 of these suspects were taken into custody.

By order of the Criminal Court of Peace, a court-appointed administrator from the Deposit Insurance Fund was assigned to 4 companies under investigation. In organized gambling laundering cases, TMSF court-appointed administration has been applied before; this measure means the freezing of company assets. Following the taking of statements from the suspects, the prosecutor's requests for arrest are expected to be evaluated.
