Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received NVIDIA co-founder and CEO Jensen Huang at the Akordes on October 23. The two sides discussed cooperation in artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

Huang proposed positioning Kazakhstan as a global hub for physical AI — a field that combines artificial intelligence with physical systems, including robots, autonomous vehicles, and industrial equipment.

Huang stated that "to develop AI, energy resources and people are essential above all," while noting that Kazakhstan possesses significant potential in science, mathematics, and technology to develop each of these areas.

Tokayev emphasized that 2026 has been declared the Year of Digitization and Artificial Intelligence in Kazakhstan. He also welcomed NVIDIA's partnership with Kazakh company Higgsfield.

Following the meeting, Tokayev awarded Huang the Order of Friendship ("Dostyk") for his contribution to the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan.
