Vladimir Putin participates in the second day of the Russia-Africa summit on Thursday, October 29. According to the schedule, the Russian president will speak at two plenary sessions, make statements to the press, and hold a series of bilateral meetings.

At the first plenary session, Putin will focus on Africa's growing role and priorities for cooperation with African countries in the UN and leading regional organizations. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov reported that the leader will also assess the situation in the system of international relations, including the "emerging new world order" based on the principle of multipolarity.

Along with Putin, Burundi's President Evariste Ndayishimiye—the current chairperson of the African Union—will speak at the first session, as will other heads of state and the chairperson of the African Union Commission. The second plenary session will take place in the format of a working lunch.

As a result of the summit, it is planned to sign a package of 33 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, memoranda, and commercial contracts. In addition, three key documents will be adopted: a summit declaration, a separate declaration on cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, and an action plan for the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum for 2027-2029.

After the signing ceremony, Putin and Ndayishimiye will make joint statements to the press. Bilateral negotiations are scheduled with the presidents of Madagascar Andry Rajoelina, Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa, and Namibia Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwoi, as well as a meeting with the Chairman of Sudan's Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Kenya's President William Ruto.
