Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alp Arslan Bayraktar announced that Turkey will receive a share of Russian diesel exports released following the recent agreement between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

Bayraktar said in an interview with Canal 7 on October 18 that Russia had restricted its diesel exports in recent months, but the U.S.-Russia agreement has opened the door to resuming exports. He added that Ankara has completed the necessary negotiations to obtain a portion of these supplies.

However, Bayraktar disclosed no figures: he did not specify the volume of quantities Turkey will receive, delivery dates, or pricing mechanisms. The Turkish Energy Ministry issued no detailed statement, and neither the U.S. nor Russian sides issued confirmations regarding Turkey's specific share.

What the minister said amounts to confirmation of principle only — that Turkey is part of the equation. As for volume, price, and timeline, none of these were mentioned, a notable absence in an energy deal of this magnitude.
