Qatari delegation arrives in Tehran for mediation talks between Iran and Washington
A senior Iranian official reveals the visit and holds Washington responsible for stalled negotiations, with no official disclosure of the delegation's identity.

A Qatari delegation arrived in Tehran today to conduct mediation talks aimed at reducing regional tensions, according to Al Jazeera's report citing a senior Iranian official.
The Iranian official said the visit is part of an ongoing diplomatic communication process between Tehran and Doha in response to escalating regional tensions. He added that the Qatari side is seeking to promote stability and security in the region through these efforts.
The official held Washington responsible for the breakdown in the settlement process, stating: "The obstacle to reaching a diplomatic solution is not mediation efforts, but Washington's rejection of our legitimate demands." He stressed that Tehran views these efforts positively, but faces repeated obstacles due to the U.S. administration's retreat from its commitments.
No official disclosure has yet been made regarding the identity of the members of the Qatari delegation, nor about the Iranian side that received them in Tehran. Qatari official statements confirming or denying the visit have also not been issued.
